A Swim Ulster Primary Schools Mini Water Polo Project, organised in partnership with BETTER (GLL), to help develop water polo in Belfast has been ongoing since early February and is partly funded by Belfast City Council’s Every Body Active 2020 scheme.

Swim Ulster members met at Bangor Aurora on Sun 15thApril 2018 to travel to the Swim Ireland Schools Interpro, which took place at the NAC, Dublin.

The bus departed at 9:30 and picked some swimmers up at Sprucefield, Banbridge and Castlebellingham Applegreen, where we had lunch.

Food Vs Supplements

Athletes are bound by the ‘strict liability’ code and are solely responsible for anything that they consume.  A contaminated supplement could mean the end of your swimming career.  Swim Ulster’s advice is that swimmers under 18yrs of age do not use supplements and that athletes over 18yrs only use supplements if their nutrition, training and recovery practices are world class.  Click on the link to find information on how to minimise the risk of purchasing a contaminated supplement.
